Waihi Beach residential development land
A big block of residential land, ripe for development, in the booming community of Waihi Beach, 60 kilometres north of Tauranga.
There's obvious opportunity in some 6.77 hectares more or less, subject to survey, of land abutting the Waihi Beach township. This is land poised for development, especially considering the rarity of new sites with views in this popular beach community. It would also be a good block to landbank in an area of such solid growth. Advantages include roading and existing services right to the boundary (the hard work done) and the elevation of much of the land affording views out to sea with Mayor Island centre stage.
The lay of the land and the mix of ridge and valley, with lower flat land running along Waihi Reach Road, which links the beach to SH2, suggests a variety of sites in a variety of sizes with a variety of outlooks.
This block wraps around the existing development with a couple of local streets rising to its entrance and that long Waihi Beach Road frontage. Dwellings on neighbouring streets are of a high standard, are some of the newer homes in the community, and represent a good proportion of permanent homes.
The burgeoning growth of Waihi Beach is testament to its ever-increasing popularity as both a holiday destination and a place to live. It benefits from its location within easy reach of Auckland, Tauranga and Hamilton - this wider area often referred to as the 'golden triangle' for property ownership. According to Statistics New Zealand the three regions combined account for around half of the country's population.
